MEET

Let me just say thank you for your interest in my site and online community resource! My name is Krista, and pictured with me is my husband Justin, our 1 year old daughter Maelle, and shorkie dog named Chicken. We currently reside on the East Side metro and are expecting our second child in the spring.

As a new mom and a SAH mom, I have found myself trying so many new products, toys, bottles, materials.. you name it! I think that's pretty standard for all parents in the beginning. And on top of that, I have also been trying so many new family friendly places for indoor/ outdoor playtime, child learning opportunities & classes, sports and athletic play, birthday venues, and more. I began sharing my experiences and reviews with my mom friends, and decided to bring that online to share great ideas and fun places to go with families all over the metro.

I also love sharing relatable articles, fun at-home activities and arts & crafts, some of my favorite (easy) recipes from time to time, and inspiring mom or family related content. I collaborate with like-minded writers, influencers, local moms, venues, and businesses to offer the most valuable information.

Why Metro Mama Duck?

My mom has always called me her duckling, (and all of her kids her ducklings), and in response I call her Mama Duck. As of 2023, I became a Mama Duck to my beautiful daughter. Mama Ducks are new moms, seasoned moms, working moms, single moms, soccer moms, bad-ass moms, or just mamas doing their best and loving their kids! Metro Mama Duck is a name for all mamas (and dads!) in the metro looking for new activities and things to do.. and I will do my best to help them out!
